Applications

NEVOSIL® SI 145 is mainly used as a;

  • Water repellent additive for the manufacturing process of aqueous masonry coatings
  • Water repellent impregnation agent for the production of isolation materials
  • Water repellent aqueous primer for the mineral based substrates

NEVOSIL® SI 145 is especially suitable for the production of;

  • Silicone resin based masonry paints and plasters (mineral)
  • Silicate emulsion paints and plasters
  • Highly filled water based coating products
  • Aqueous facade primers
  • Insulating materials
Processing
  • NEVOSIL® SI 145 can be used without dilution and with an addition amount of 1-5 wt % during the production of masonry coatings.
  • NEVOSIL® SI 145 should also be used as a water-repellent primer diluted with 1:9 parts by weight with water. For the impregnation of insulating materials, it is recommended to dilute NEVOSIL® SI 145 with water in the ratio of 1:100 to 1:200 parts by weight.

Storage & Handling

Storage/Shelf Life
  • NEVOSIL® SI 145 has a shelf life up to 9 months if stored in tightly closed original containers between 5-35°C. If the material is kept beyond the shelf life recommended, it is not necessarily unusable, but quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application. The containers must be protected against sunlight and frost.
