About Us

"Union Chemicals Factory LLC (UCF) is a subsidiary of Ittihad International Investment LLC, a large-scale private holding group governing several prestigious companies in the region. Since its inception in 2009, UCF has assumed its position in the Middle East as a prominent sulfonation plant producing Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (LABSA), Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). Abu Dhabi Industrial City (ICAD1), is the home to the plant that spans over a total area of 7,175 sqm. UCF produces approximately 40,000 tons per year of high quality LABSA 96%, SLES 70% and SLS 28% and houses a fully-automated and computerized facility coupled by the most advanced machinery supplied by elite suppliers."

Union Chemicals Factory LABSA (96%) is the largest-volume synthetic surfactant because of its relatively low cost, good performance, the fact that it can be dried to a stable powder, biodegradable and environment friendly. LABSA is an anionic surfactants with molecules characterized by a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic group. They are nonvolatile compounds produced by sulfonation. LABSA are complex mixtures of homologues of different alkyl chain lengths (C10 to C13 or C14) and phenyl positional isomers of 2 to 5-phenyl in proportions dictated by the starting materials and reaction conditions.

Union Chemicals Factory SLES (70%) is a kind of anionic surfactant with excellent performance. It has good cleaning, emulsifying, wetting and foaming properties. It easily dissolves in water, compatible with many surfactants, and stable in hard water. It is biodegradable with low irritation to skin and eye. SLES 70% (Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate) has excellent detergency, emulsification, and foam ability. It is also favorable towards hard-water resistant and decontamination, emulsification, dispersion, wetting, solubilizing performance and foaming property. Good solvency, thickening effect, wide compatibility, anti-hard water and high biodegradable ability. Low irritation to skin and eyes.
