Val-Tex, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KMG, is a preferred provider of high quality, cost-effective valve lubricants primarily to the oil and gas storage, pipeline and gas distribution markets. Val-Tex manufactures and distributes industrial sealants and lubricants, as well as related products, such as lubrication equipment and fittings. Val-Tex serves the global valve maintenance market with value-added specialty products that enable optimal valve operation and help prevent costly, unscheduled downtime at customer facilities and pipelines. In addition, Val-Tex’s products provide important safety benefits along with preventing fugitive valve emissions. Founded in 1962, Val-Tex was a valve repair and modification shop; valve maintenance products manufacturing ; and field services. Val-Tex continued with this model until 1974 when it changed business strategy and focused solely on valve maintenance products. Armed with its years of field experience, Val-Tex aimed to fill the need of a reliable partner to major valve manufacturers. Still today, Val-Tex helps train our valve manufacturing partners on key aspects of field maintenance, solutions to common operational challenges and products that are engineered to overcome those pitfalls.

VAL-TEX 700+FTFE synthetic, biodegradable lube sealant is suitable as a multi-purpose emergency lube sealant. It is resistant to natural gas, mineral oils, light hydrocarbons, LPG's, most aromatics, water, instrument air, H2S, and CO2. Moly-disulfide helps to reduce valve operating torque. It is designed as an emergency sealant containing blended particles of Polytetrafluoroethylene. Intermingling of Val-Tex 700+FTFE and other lubricants or sealants will not have an adverse affect.

Val-Tex 700+FTFE

VAL-TEX 80+FTFE biodegradable lube sealant is suitable for emergency sealing in valves where the service is mineral oils, light hydrocarbons, LPG’s or aromatics. It is designed as a sealant containing blended particles of Polytetrafluoroethylene for extra sealability. This is not recommended as a standard maintenance product because of the potential Teflon buildup with repeated use. Intermingling of Val-Tex 80+FTFE and other lubricants or sealants will not have any adverse affect.

Val-Tex 80+FTFE

VAL-TEX 2000-S biodegradable, synthetic material is suitable as a lubricant. It has resistance to natural gas, mineral oils, light hydrocarbons, LPG's, most aromatics, crude oil, H2S, CO2 , water, and instrument air. The lubricant’s light viscosity and moly-disulfide helps to reduce valve operating torque. Intermingling of Val-Tex 2000-S and other lubricants or sealants will not have an adverse affect.

VAL-TEX 80-HM biodegradable lube sealant is developed to have resistance to mineral oils, light hydrocarbons, LPG's and most aromatics. It is also water resistant. Its heavy viscosity makes it an excellent performer where there are high differential pressures across the valve. The moly-disulfide provides additional lubricity for reduced operating torque. Intermingling of Val-Tex No. 80-HM and other lubricants or sealants should not produce any adverse affect.

VAL-TEX 85 biodegradable lube sealant is resistant to mineral oils, light hydrocarbons, LPG's and most aromatics. It’s heavy viscosity makes it an excellent performer where there are high differential pressures across the valve. It is water-resistant. Intermingling of Val-Tex No. 85 and other lubricants or sealants will not have any adverse affect.

VAL-TEX 972 biodegradable lube sealant is a general purpose product formulated for valves in high pressure and high temperature oil and gas service. Contains moly-disulfide to reduce operating torque. Intermingling of Val-Tex 972 and other lubricants or sealants will not have any adverse affect.

VAL-TEX 80 biodegradable lube sealant is suitable as a multi-purpose lube sealant being resistant to mineral oils, light hydrocarbons, LPG's and all aromatics. It is water resistant. Intermingling of Val-Tex 80 and other lubricants or sealants will not have any adverse affect.

VAL-TEX 75 biodegradable lube sealant was developed for valves used in high temperature systems carrying hydrocarbons in the range from heavy crude oils up to and including the aromatics. Contains moly-disulfide to reduce valve operating torque. Intermingling of Val-Tex 75 and other lubricants will not have any adverse effects.
