VALMIERA GLASS® SiO2-glass provides high-silica needled mats (KF) with thermal resistance of 1000oC or higher. Silica needled mats are a new generation heat resistant material that can be used for extended periods of time without losing properties or melting and vaporizing at temperatures of up to 1000°C. The mats are also resistant to organic and mineral acids (except hydrofluoric and phosphoric), weak alkali, water, and high-pressure steam, and have low thermal conductivity.
