Cosmetic Properties: Thanks to its peptidic composition, the hydrolysate possesses a high affinity with hair keratins. Its balanced average molecular weight (2000 D) explains its substantive and protective film-forming properties. When applied on treated hair , an increased substantivity and consequent deposition of the hydrolysate on hair has been experimentally observed, due to the formation of di-sulfide bonds between the peptides and hair keratins.
