Effective against the following target aphids, mites, thrips, and whitefly listed below:
- Effective against all mites (spider and two-spotted).
- Effective against aphids (apple, cotton, green peach, and mealy plum).
- Effective against plant-hoppers and stink bugs.
- Effective against thrips (flower and palm).
- Effective against whitefly (greenhouse and sweet potato).
MultiMite Control has been tested on a wide variety of crops with an average efficacy greater than 80% on various aphids, mites, and whitefly field tests.
- Applications
At the beginning of mite infestations, use 5.8 mL (1 1/6 tsp.) of product with one gallon (1 gal.) of water in order to dilute MultiMite Control. It can also be used in other quantities respecting always the dilution rate of 1:650, product to water. After dilution, spray the product onto plant leaves. In area applications, use 10.4 oz to 20.8 oz per acre of land. Do not apply prior to excessive rains since this may reduce product effectiveness.
- Mode of Action
MultiMite Control must be applied on leaves. Applying the product on leaves inhibits feeding and can kill aphids on contact. Oxymatrine causes paralysis of an insect’s nerve center, then solidifies albumen and blocks the air vents of the pest, causing it to suffocate and die. It also suppresses food absorption of insects and reduces larvae livability. Oxymatrine also hinders their growth and prevents insects from laying eggs.
