Most of our products are used in conjunction with thermal insulation, but many are also used in other applications as well. From our manufacturing facility in Nitro, West Virginia, USA, we supply our products to customers worldwide. We maintain an inventory of finished goods to enable us to ship orders for standard products quickly, often on the same day an order is received. All products are manufactured in accordance with our stringent quality-control program by our skilled team of personnel with years of experience, so the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers is assured on each and every shipment. Our quality control program has been created to meet the strict requirements of the U.S. Navy, GSA, and the nuclear power industry.

749 Vapor-Blok™ is a premium quality water-based vapor-barrier coating which effectively prevents water vapor from passing through it. It is designed to prevent the passage of water vapor into thermal insulation on cold systems or surfaces colder than ambient temperature. It is compatible with virtually all types of thermal insulation including Foamglas and can also be applied to a variety of other types of substrates as needed. It is a safe, easy to apply water-based latex emulsion, but it achieves the type of low perm rating normally associated with solvent-based products.

749 Vapor-Blok

739 BrushSeal™ Coating is an economical but effective vapor-barrier coating for use over all types of thermal insulation on cold systems. It is specifically formulated for optimal use on systems operating below ambient temperature but not below 32º F, but it can be used on colder systems as long as adequate insulation thickness is present. It effectively retards the passage of water vapor on applications such as chilled water lines, air conditioning ducts, or other pipes or vessels within these temperature parameters. Colder systems than the above are better protected with Vimasco’s 749 VaporBlok™ which has a lower perm rating and is designed for heavy-duty applications. On all cold systems, vapor barrier coatings will only perform well when the proper thickness of insulation is used.

Vimasco Corporation 714 Lagging Adhesive is a high-quality, fire-resistant lagging adhesive and coating to be used over moderate temperature insulation systems. 714 has a full bodied consistency which minimizes sagging and dripping during application and has excellent brushability. 714 is normally used in conjunction with lagging cloth to secure and seal pipe insulation (or similar types of insulation). When dry, it provides a tight moisture resistant bond between cloth and insulation, and a surface which is resistant to mild alkalis, asphalt, acids and salts.

Vimasco Corporation WC-7 Vinyl Acrylic Coating is a heavy-bodied, water-based, vinyl-acrylic, general-purpose mastic, for use over all types of insulation systems, both interior and exterior. It can also be applied over masonry surfaces and a variety of other substrates. WC-7 is a breathing type mastic and is formulated to provide maximum weather protection at an economical price.

Vimasco Corporation WC-1 PVA Coating is a heavy-bodied, water-based, breathing type mastic, for use as a protective coating over all types of insulation systems, both indoors and outdoors. WC-1 may also be successfully used on masonry surfaces and primed steel when a water-based coating is desired offering durability, weather protection, chemical and oil resistance, and beauty. In most applications, the recommended dried film thickness for WC-1 is 1/16”.

Vimasco Corporation WC-5 FR Vinyl Acrylic is a special version of our standard WC-5 weather barrier mastic which has been formulated to provide maximum resistance to flame spread. WC-5 FR should be used in hazardous areas where protection against the spread of fire is a significant concern. WC-5 FR is a heavy-bodied, water-based, vinyl-acrylic, breathing type mastic coating which can be used over all types of thermal insulation to provide excellent protection against weather, other moisture sources, and mechanical damage. WC-5 FR is also resistant to oil, grease, and mild alkalis.

It can also be applied as a protective coating over masonry surfaces and a variety of other substrates. Special care should be taken when applying WC-5 to foil facing as it will not always bond tightly, depending on the type of foil, test applications are recommended.

Vimasco Corporation WC-1 FR PVA Coating is a heavy-bodied, water-based, breathing type mastic coating which provides weather barrier protection, and mechanical abuse protection, over a variety of thermal insulation systems. It is designed for use in areas where protection against the spread of fire is also a significant concern. WC-1 FR is a soft, smooth, heavy-build polyvinyl-acetate emulsion with specially selected fillers and fire resistive compounds. It can be applied by spray, palm, or trowel (method of application should be specified when ordering) and has a recommended thickness of 1/16” dry.

Vimasco Corporation 727 Laminating Adhesive is a water-based, fire-retardant latex adhesive designed for laminating facings to insulation board by roller or spray. 727 has a higher solids content than most competitive adhesives. This creates excellent quick tack and coverage rate. 727 dries to an opaque film, thereby minimizing noticeable overspray. 727 does not present the toxicity or flammability hazards associated with solvent containing adhesives.
