In dairy cows, especially those with high potential, the liver is very stressed and if fats accumulate in the liver, particularly around the calving period, this may lead to related pathologies that weaken the cows and reduce their performances.

The essential role of three nutrients
Vitaliver is made up of three nutrients with an essential role in the liver: Methionine, Choline, and Betaine which act as a detoxifier and help drain the liver. Vitalac uses a mixture of these nutrients in rumen protected form so that they can pass into the intestine without being broken down in the rumen. Thus, they are absorbed in the intestine.
Sorbitol and vitamin B for a targeted action:
Sorbitol and Vitamin B are also found in Vitaliver. Sorbitol is a cholagogue and choleretic: it stimulates the secretion of bile and the discharge of excess fat from the liver. Group B vitamins take part in gluconeogenesis (production of glucose) which takes place in the liver in ruminants.
Vitaliver in combination with Vitapeps (vitamin C) is an excellent duo to ensure good liver function and to strengthen the immune system of cows.
