The Rust Converter is based on epoxy resin and forms a metallic-organic iron complex with the rust layer. This connection is stabilized with the special epoxy resin, which protects metals from external impacts. The forming black layer serves as base coat and is the foundation for the subsequent, permanent coating. It can be used as a rust convertor, sealer and primer.

Rust Converter can be applied on all rusty areas, e.g. on machines or in plants, on agricultural equipment as well as motor vehicles.The spray can also be used as a protective, preventive layer.
- Surface Preparation
The surface has to be dry, clean and free from dust, oil and grease. Remove loose rust, grease, dirt and paint with a wire brush, grinding disk, etc. Thoroughly remove grinding dust with WEICON Cleaner Spray S.
- Processing
Shake can well before use. Apply the Rust Converter in thin and even layers with a paint brush or paint runner. After 15 minutes, the rust on the workpiece will turn black. If this is not the case, another layer has to be applied after 30 minutes. Before painting, allow the coated area to evaporate for 3 to 24 hours (depending on the ambient temperature).

Keep tightly closed in the original packaging. Protect from direct sunlight and frost. The storage temperature should be between 5°C and +15 °C. Store the container in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
