Market Applications

Industrial (Packaging, Absorbent):

  • Vermiculite is used as a lightweight filler, liquid absorbent for dangerous goods and lab packing and as a liquid waste solidification agent.

Construction (Insulation, Concrete Aggregate):

  • Vermiculite is ideal as a pool base under vinyl lined pools, chimney insulation mix, light weight aggregate in plaster and concrete, attic insulation, aggregate in spray-on fireproofing and as a masonry fill insulation.

Horticultural (Lt. Wt. Soil Amendment, Seed Topping):

  • Light weight Vermiculite provides aeration and moisture retention.
  • It also possesses cation exchange properties, thus it can hold available to the growing plant ammonium, potassium, calcium and magnesium.
