WILLAMETTE VALLEY HOPS MOUNT HOOD is an aroma variety released in 1989 from the USDA Breeding Program in Oregon. The variety is a triploid daughter of Hallertau mittlefruh and a sister to liberty, with analytical data similar to both. It has low alpha and beta acids content, low cohumulone and high humulene in the essential oil. Mount hood exhibits a pleasant, mild aroma.
