About Us

A private, minority-owned company, Willow Ridge Plastics (WRP) has decades of experience in developing, manufacturing, and researching oxo-biodegradable additives. Our third party, independently tested products will help meet changing global demands with our degradable additives. Our production facility is certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. WRP ships worldwide. Our US headquarters are centrally located in Kentucky, close to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and major interstates. Our R & D researchers use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and technology to validate oxo-biodegradable performance. We test against current standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) as well as international ones. Note that WRP's latest generation of additives meets all these current standards for oxo-biodegradability. Willow Ridge Plastics BDA is a non-toxic additive which does not contain regulated heavy metals. BDA is currently being used in food contact applications worldwide. Using the oxo-biodegradation process, time, ambient heat, and/or UV light, will oxidize the plastic. Oxidation reduces the molecular weight of the plastic and allows for oxygen containing functional groups to form within the polymer. This allows microorganisms to further biodegrade the polymer once it has been disposed of.
