As high-tech plastics, WIC™ PP 20 BK UV compounds impress with their low weight (i.e. low density) combined with high strength and rigidity. The material is also dimensionally stable and offers excellent electrical conductivity as well as good friction and wear properties.The basis of our WIC compounds is carbon fiber recycling. The source of the fibers are cuttings from the production of lightweight components that are increasingly being produced in the aerospace industry, medical devices and the automotive industry, for example. With our innovative carbon fiber recycling technology, carbon fiber residues are processed and homogeneously incorporated into carbon-fiber compounds – a sustainable solution. WIPAG has secured the supply of carbon fibers through long-term contracts.
