WyoComp's mission is to research and promote the use of agriculturally derived products and technologies to address long-term natural resource sustainability issues. Growing concerns are mounting over the use of plastics in the world today. Our oceans are being polluted by plastics and landfills are becoming increasingly populated by this important resource. WyoComp is helping to educate consumers with facts about plastics and convert the market to using more sustainable alternatives like bioplastics and recycled plastics with increased biocontent. Bioplastics are biodegradable and compostable. Recycled plastics that are reinforced with biomasses (plant material sourced from the agricultural sector) make the material more sustainable, adding value while lowering the carbon footprint and extend the useful life of the material. Composite products and materials produced by WyoComp are safe for the environment and contain no toxic chemicals or additives.
