- Advantages
- More effective physical capture of dirt between zeolite particles compared to sand, which is heavier and can clog the filter.
- Less frequent washing of the filter, ie saving energy and water for rinsing (up to 30%).
- Extremely large surface of the mineral for the adsorption of pollutants (100 kg of zeolite has an external surface of over 3 million m 2 and an internal surface of 60 million sq.m).
- Adsorbs harmful substances such as ammonia and phosphates (1 kg of zeolite can bind up to 23 g of NH4+ ions).
- Removing ammonia from the water increases the effect of chlorination, i.e. water treatment in the pool requires a lower amount of chlorine by up to 35%.
- It is regenerable - to maintain this property, it is necessary to regenerate the filling in the filter with a 10% salt solution (1 kg of NaCl per 10 l of water).
- It is necessary to keep it in this solution for min. 2 hours.
- After this time, the regenerated filter is washed and rinsed in the usual way and can be used again to clean and treat the water in the pool.
- Thanks to the sharp edges, ZeoAqua captures even smaller particles of 2-3 microns, while sand up to particles over 15 microns.
