    • Natural pozzolans do not harden themselves after being mixed with water, but if they are finely ground, they react in the presence of water at normal temperature with dissolved calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH2)) and form compounds of calcium silicates and calcium aluminates, which are carriers of increasing strength.
    • Pozzolans mainly contain active silicon dioxide (SiO2) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3).
    • The rest contains iron oxide (Fe2O3) and other oxides.
    • The content of active silica should not be less than 25% by weight.

    • This result increases the advantages of using the product in the production of cement.
    • The above-average value is achieved due to the high content of active SiO₂ of 44-54%.
    • Most pozzolanic quarries on the European market do not even reach 80% pozzolanic reactivity.
