    Industrial Additives Features
    Benefits
    • Contains 50-60% active SiO2.
    • Improves the stability of mixtures.
    • Eliminates sulfate corrosion.
    • Increases sulfate resistance.
    • Binds heavy metal ions.
    • Reduces the amount of C3A in the cement.
    • High surface area.
    • Low volumetric weight.
    Features
    • Additives for concrete, material for the production of pozzolanic cements and concrete products.
    • ZeoBau is insoluble in water and remains in its natural form, so it does not lose its positive properties and is also thermally stable.
    • ZeoBau is produced in various qualities (granularity, moisture, cleanliness, etc.) for wide use in the production of concrete and various construction applications.
    Production of Pozzolanic Cements
    • According to the European standard EN 197-1, natural zeolite can be classified as natural pozzolan.
    • Similar to other pozzolans, it does not harden after mixing with water, but if it is finely ground, it reacts in the presence of water with soluble calcium hydroxide to form calcium silicate and calcium aluminate compounds, which are carriers of gradually increasing strengths.
    • The application of 15% by weight of zeolite as a replacement for ordinary Portland cement achieves the same sulfate resistance as demonstrated by sulfate-resistant Portland cement.
    • Zeolite is one of the substrates used when grinding cement as a substitute for clinker and is used as the majority substrate (from 5 wt.% to 50 wt.%) when grinding cement.
    • The advantage is the replacement of clinker and thus the reduction of production costs.
    • Zeolite also acts as an activator of clinker and slag, which makes it possible to increase the replacement of clinker with substrates.
    Advantages
    • In the preparation of cement suspensions for the purposes of underground sealing walls, injection and grouting of micro piles, as well as for injection mixtures of cable cavities, the addition of even a small amount of zeolite significantly improves the stability of the mixtures.
    • Cement-zeolite suspensions sediment more slowly and undergo division into a solid phase and a liquid more slowly.
    • The stabilizing effect of zeolite in cement suspensions is also related to the sorption and exchange capabilities of zeolite.

    Applications & Uses

    Industrial Additives End Use
    Uses
    • Natural dried and ground zeolite used as an additive to concrete and an additive in construction chemical products.
    • ZeoBau products are not only used as concrete additives, but are also used in the production of cast floors, roofs, and prefabs.
    • Zeolite in mixtures performs the function of a stabilizer, after its addition, the mixture is less spreadable and it is better handled.
    • Higher dosages of zeolite in mixed portland - zeolite cement contribute to increasing its sulfate resistance.
    • Therefore, this cement is recommended for applications in demanding sulfate-aggressive environments, e.g. in cement suspensions, injection mortars and concretes for special foundations.
