AxxaWash™ KMS-220 is a mildly alkaline aqueous-based cleaner designed for the removal of light-duty hydrocarbon soils and particulates on multiple substrates. AxxaWash™ KMS-220 contains a flash-rust inhibitor and is suited to clean and prepare the metal surface for a long-term rust preventative, such as Zerust® Axxanol™ or Axxatec™ product lines. When using a long-term rust preventative, AxxaWash™ KMS-220 should be rinsed from the surface prior to application. In addition, AxxaWash™ KMS220 can be left on the metal surface as a dry-in-place cleaner and flashrust inhibitor. AxxaWash™ KMS-220 is conveniently offered as a liquid concentrate and may be diluted per the application. - Spray (low to high-spray pressures) May be used with Zerust® Axxatec™ rust inhibitor or Axxanol™ rust preventative.
- For steel, chrome-plating, and stainless stee substrates. Test prior to use on copper, bronze, and brass. Not recommended for aluminum.
- Application Example
Zerust® AxxaWash™ KMS-220 is used in a high-spray pressure system as a final wash, removing light-duty hydrocarbon soils while also offering flash-rust inhibition.

Storage & Handling
- Storage
Store in a cool, dry place and away from sunlight in original packaging. Storage temperature should be kept between 10 to 130°F for up to 2 years from the date of shipment. Do not allow the product to freeze. Reseal or close the container cap after each use. If the product is exposed below 10°F or above 130°F, increase/reduce temperature and mix before use.
