Polyimide /PI Glide™ Tubing is a class of high performing polymers well established in industry for their outstanding chemical, thermal, and mechanical performance properties. Polyimides typically do not melt before decomposing; thus, they demonstrate excellent thermal stability in high as well as low temperatures. For applications that require enhanced torque, flexibility, strength, pushability, kink resistance, or burst resistance, reinforced polyimide tubing is available. Zeus reinforced polyimide tubing can be produced in full load and half load braid patterns, with various PPI (pick per inch) depending on your specifications. Lower braid densities (low PPI) result in increased pushability, while higher braid densities (high PPI) result in increased flexibility and steerability. Reinforced polyimide tubing is also available in coil configurations with various WPI (wraps per inch) to meet your requirements.

PEEKshrink® is a linear, semi–crystalline aromatic polymer, is considered one of the highest performing thermoplastic materials; it can withstand extreme temperatures, high pressure and caustic fluids. Now, Zeus has taken PEEK to an entirely new level of performance with PEEKshrink™. PEEKshrink™ provides a shrink-to-fit layer of protection for sensitive components and critical connections. PEEKshrink™ is an ideally suited product for challenging environments such as oil and gas exploration where abrasion, intense pressure, chemicals, water, or dielectric interference pose a threat to wires and electrical components. PEEKshrink™ is an obvious and optimal splicing aid for PEEK insulated wire. PEEKshrink™ is an alternative to traditional fluoropolymer protective coatings with its very wide working temperature range.

PTFE® Sub-Lite-Wall PTFE heat shrink tubing is our ultra-thin walled extrusion family with wall thicknesses 0.005" (0.127 mm) and below. This specialty heat shrink is engineered for applications that not only require thin walls but also a shrink-to-fit encapsulation protection. For this speciality heat shrink, we can even maintain wall thicknesses extending below 0.001" (0.025 mm) with tolerances of ± 0.0005" (0.0127 mm). Our capabilities allow us to meet your most critical dimensional needs. PTFE has an extremely low coefficient of friction making it especially desirable when needing to push covered components such as guidewires through tight fitting or occluded vessels. For medical applications, PTFE products are sterilizable by several options and are also biocompatible.
