Availa®Dairy, from Zinpro Performance Minerals®, is a nutritional feed ingredient for dairy herds seeking additional performance. It contains a specific combination of complexed zinc, manganese, copper and cobalt*. When fed as part of a well-balanced diet, these trace minerals can help improve skin and hoof integrity, feed efficiency, fertility and reduce somatic cell count. The Availa-Dairy product formulation features increased levels of zinc, manganese and cobalt, and a lower level of copper. Recent research has shown that dairy cattle benefit from being supplemented with higher levels of a more available form of zinc, from Zinpro Performance Minerals sources, with benefits including decreased somatic cell count and increased feed efficiency. In addition, increasing the level of manganese supplemented to dairy cows can help increase the percent of heifers pregnant, as manganese plays an essential role in reproduction. Research has also shown that feeding dairy cattle higher levels of supplemental cobalt can improve feed efficiency and increase overall milk production, as cobalt is an essential trace element that is required for vitamin B12 synthesis and fiber digestion in ruminants. Availa-Dairy has also been formulated to provide optimum levels of copper for cows with high dry matter intakes. Availa-Dairy is built on a unique, patented molecule that consists of one metal ion bound to one amino acid ion – called a metal amino acid complex. Zinpro Performance Minerals provide the highest biological efficacy of any trace mineral products on the market, which means more of the minerals are absorbed by the animal to deliver their full benefit. For more than 45 years, Zinpro Performance Minerals have delivered positive animal performance responses and a strong return on investment in operations around the world. A nutritional feed ingredient for animal feed. When used as a commercial feed ingredient, it must be declared as zinc amino acid complex, manganese amino acid complex, copper amino acid complex and cobalt glucoheptonate. Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) No. 57.151 and 57.148. Canada Reg. No. 550154.
