METOLAT 288 provides excellent surface wetting without generating foam. The product is free of mineral oil and silicones. METOLAT 288 improves good wetting and increases leveling, especially in low viscosity systems.

CoatOSil™ 7001 copolymer is an additive for improved flow and leveling of solventborne two-component acrylic-polyol isocyanate cured coatings. PolyAziridine Global PZE-1000 is an ethylene imine based tri-functional polyaziridine that is used as a cross-linker for both aqueous and non-aqueous coatings, inks, and adhesives to promote both physical and chemical properties. With the highest level of functionality at 3.3, it yields the highest level of cross-link density of polyfunctional aziridines. The aziridine end groups can react with active hydrogen as found on carboxyl groups of acrylic emulsions or polyurethane dispersions. PZE-1000 also has a hydroxyl group, which allows it to dispersion readily into aqueous systems. PZE-1000 is added at levels of 1% to 3% to finished formulated coatings, inks, or adhesives. It is added slowly and under good agitation. After mixing, an aqueous system with a pH of 9.0-9.5 will typically have a pot life of 18-36 hours. This time will be reduced when the pH is lower.

The all PO side chain helps minimize the potential for foam stabilization, making CoatOSil™ 7510 coatings additive an excellent candidate as a defoamer in water-borne industrial or decorative coating formulations.

CoatOSil™ 7605 coatings additive has been shown to provide these same performance enhancements to powder coating formulations. In aqueous systems, such as emulsion paints and plasters, the use of Deuteron XG prevents a deposition of the pigments and extenders as well as a separation of the liquid phase during storage. The applicability of the paints is improved. Deuteron XG is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry.Deuteron XG is insoluble in most organic liquids. The product is fully soluble in water and mixtures of organic liquids with a water proportion of at least 60 %. Pre-wetting of Deuteron XG with glycols at a ratio of 1 : 1 accelerates the swelling- and dissolution process. Aqueous solutions of Deuteron XG show a high pseudoplasticity. High rate of shear lowers the viscosity. Reducing the shear rate increases viscosity again. Solutions of Deuteron XG are stable regarding the pH-value and temperature. There is almost no change in stability from pH 2 – 12.
