The main task was the start of peat extraction on the raised bog in Garanas, which was used as planting material and in the meantime also as bedding. In the first 15 years before the opening of the moor bath in Schwanberg, the raised moor peat was sold as far away as Vienna and northern Italy, which enabled up to 12 employees to be employed.
