Millathane® millable polyurethane rubber comes in a number of Polyester and Polyether grades and subsequent formulary setups. Polyether grades have better water and hydrolysis resistance than polyester grades, while polyester grades have better heat, oil and compression set resistance than polyether grades. Most Millathane grades are available in a range of viscosities and can be packaged as dense bales or premilled sheets.

Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is the most chemically resistant elastomer available and is effectively a rubber form of PTFE. Perlast® perfluoroelastomer grades provide other properties which prove most valuable in critical sealing applications where purity, high temperatures and retention of sealing force are paramount. The Perlast® range of perfluoroelastomer materials are at the leading edge of polymer technology. They have been developed to offer superior sealing solutions with enhanced performance and improved functionality, which is proven in the field (see case studies).

Polymac water reducible resins are produced by the same synthetic process as other polyesters. Careful raw material selection provides for the introduction of acid functionality on the polymer backbone, which allows the resin to be thinned with water.

Viton offers excellent resistance to aggressive fuels and chemicals and has worldwide ISO 9000 and ISO/TS 16949 registration. Viton® is a brand of synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer commonly used in O-rings and other molded components. We mold Viton O-rings for a variety of applications in the aerospace and industrial markets. Viton® O-rings are ideal in oil field applications where Viton® can resist aggressive properties of natural gas and oils.

Cerablak™ technology is enabling new possibilities in high temperature materials science. Its original discovery stemmed from an accidental experimental result that yielded a nanocomposite consisting of carbon encapsulated in aluminophosphate glass that is stable above 1400°C in air. The black glass-ceramic led to the name “Cerablak™.” By further refining this discovery via molecular design, several unique products have been developed including transparent ultra-thin films. PPG INHIBISIL® silica anti-corrosion pigments are highly-efficient, calcium oxide-modified silica products designed to replace conventional chrome-based and other toxic anti-corrosion pigments. Engineered for use in thin-film polyester melamine (solvent-borne), urethane (solvent-borne), and epoxy (waterborne) primers. PPG INHIBISIL® anti-corrosion pigments are non-toxic, chemically inert,  and compatible with other anti-corrosion additives.  They also disperse easily and are highly resistant to over-grind.

HiMod® refers to a range of high-modulus plastic materials that Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical has developed for applications demanding high wear and chemical resistance performance. The materials also exhibit low friction performance through the use of a unique balance of internal lubricants and wear inhibiting agents. These materials can be machined or injection molded, providing engineers the design freedom to develop the most economical manufacturing method.

LUMIFLON® is the first solvent-soluble fluoropolymer resin for coatings that can be cured at room temperature or at elevated temperatures. LUMIFLON resins, used in topcoats, are ultra-weatherable, and maintain their excellent appearance on buildings, bridges, and other structures, as well as on aircraft, automobiles, and solar panels. LUMIFLON coatings protect steel, aluminum and other metals as well as concrete from degradation by UV light, wind and rain, and corrosion. A transparent fluororesin, LUMIFLON can be used to make both clear and pigmented coatings. Because of their ultra-weatherability, LUMIFLON based coatings offer substantial life cycle cost savings over conventional coatings. Aktifit is an activated Silfit Z 91 produced by modifying the surface with functional silanes. The by-products split off during the treatment reaction are largely removed during the production process which firmly attaches the silane to the filler surface. This helps minimize undesirable side effects, as they are potentially encountered with in-situ mixing (direct addition of silane to the compound).
