ZOLTEK PX30 carbon scrim is a plain leno weave fabric, produced from 100% ZOLTEK OX spun yarns, that undergo a high temperature, long carbonization soak process to obtain a high purity (>99% carbon) mesh material. The resultant chemically inert fabric exhibits superior thermal stability and a low oxidation rate. More specifically, our ZOLTEK PX30 high-purity carbon scrim fabric is a specialized product designed with an open weave construction which is ideal for applications requiring lightweight secondary reinforcement, such as that used in intumescent coating end uses. The scrim fabrics is usually supplied with an FR coated finish to provide easy handling and installation. In addition, our ZOLTEK PX30 High-Purity Carbon Scrim Fabric is manufactured to the same high quality and high standards as all of the ZOLTEK PX30 woven products.

ACM C530P is a Unidirectional Woven Fabrics with Standard fabric width of 300 mm and Custom width range of 120—1600 mm having EP/VE Resin compatibility. Unidirectional carbon tapes are carbon fabric with at least 85% of the filaments arranged in the same direction. Thin glass, aramid, or hot melt fibers are used as weft (cross fibers). This structure supports the high tensile strength of the carbon tape and makes it a relevant material in demand for construction and many other applications.

Custom formulations are also available. ZOLTEK prepreg properties, such as fiber areal weight (FAW), resin content, and width, are readily adjusted to exactly meet customer requirements. Packaging options include core size, customer specified knitting requirements, and custom labeling. ZOLTEK prepreg production is geared to large volumes and low cost. Special projects are welcomed.
