STEPANTEX® VM 85 G is a cationic surfactant suited for the formulation of household and industrial fabric softeners from 3% viscous to 20% fluid-active concentrations. This ester quat can also be used in many other applications, such as metal cleaning and polishing compounds, cutting oils, textile auxiliaries, leather conditioners, water repellents, shoe polishes, emulsifiers, paper treatment, and clays.

Barquat® BAC-50 Antimicrobial contains the active substance C12-C16 Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC). The active is a cationic molecule offering good surfactant properties and can be formulated together with non-ionic and/or amphoteric surfactants. This “first” generation quaternary ammonium compound has antimicrobial efficacy against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and enveloped viruses.

Cola®Wet sulfosuccinates, chemically classified as dialkyl sulfosuccinates, are anionic surfactants that provide a wide variety of functional properties that include surface and interfacial tension reduction, wetting, dispersing, emulsifying, penetrating, and solubilizing. Cola®Wets are suitable for use in a broad range of applications such as wetting agents, in cosmetics, detergents, agricultural, mining and textile products, as well as emulsifiers/dispersants in water treatment, paint, ink and polymerization formulations. Cola®Wet MA-80 surfactant is an anionic surface tension depressant and an emulsifying, dispersing and solubilizing agent exhibiting high electrolyte tolerance. It promotes penetration and spreading of organic liquids as films.

Cola® Det 190 is a highly concentrated, proprietary blend of anionic and nonionic surfactants that can be used as a base for a wide range of dishwash, laundry and other household cleaning products, covering the range from economy to premium formulations.

Cola®Teric AV is an alkyl betaine that effectively thickens HCl as well as mixtures of HCl and other mineral acids. As a surfactant, Cola®Teric AV also provides wetting and detergency properties in acid formulations. Due to its viscosity building efficiency, ease of formulation and long-term stability in mineral acids, Cola®Teric AV is ideal for use in acid bowl cleaners, dairy cleaners and a variety of applications where viscous acid solutions are required. For easiest results, add the ColaTeric AV to the water and then add the acid.

Cola®Teric AP is a salt-free organophosphate amphoteric that provides hydrotroping properties in high alkaline built systems that are formulated with conventional and capped low foaming nonionics. Cola®Teric AP improves the rinsibility of these systems by providing less streaking and redeposition of soil on the cleaned surface. Cola®Teric AP also enhances the detergency of nonionics. Cola®Teric AP is suited for use in industrial detergent cleaners, such as alkaline metal cleaning, high pressure spray cleaners, alkaline degreasers, scrubbing compounds, acid cleaners, transportation cleaners and various other hard surface detergent formulations. Detergency Enhancement - In alkaline metal cleaning tests, Cola®Teric AP, when mixed at equal activity with all ethoxylated nonionics, provides dramatic improvement of hard surface detergency properties. Blends containing Cola®Teric AP significantly outperformed blends containing similar concentrations of sodium xylene sulfonate.

Cola®Trope 522 is an alkaline stable surfactant that is soluble and stable in 35% sodium hydroxide and high levels of other alkaline builders. This surfactant is used to formulate alkaline detergents for use in metal cleaning, food plant cleaning, and transportation cleaning. Cola®Trope 522 is useful at an application temperature of greater than 140ºF in 35% sodium hydroxide, 20% sodium metalsilicate, 45% KOH and 45% TKPP individually.

Cola®Trope 555 is an alkaline stable surfactant designed for formulating low foaming, liquid cleaner concentrates containing comparatively high levels of caustic and/or other alkaline compounds. Cola®Trope 555 exhibits optimum detergency and low foaming properties at low application temperatures (<60C).

Colonial Chemical’s ZF Series is a line of surfactant products made to be easily soluble in concentrated alkaline solutions at room temperature but which exhibit low foaming nonionic behavior at elevated temperatures after dilution to end use concentrations. They are designed to provide superior detergency characteristics in the presence of strong electrolytes used in soak tanks, sprays, pipeline cleaners, and low-foaming scrubbers.

Cola®Wet surfactants, chemically classified as dialkyl sulfosuccinates, are anionic surfactants that provide a wide variety of functional properties that include surface and interfacial tension reduction, wetting, dispersing, emulsifying, penetrating, and solubilizing. Cola®Wet surfactants are suitable for use in a broad range of applications such as wetting agents, in cosmetics, detergents, agricultural, mining and textile products, as well as emulsifiers/dispersants in water treatment, paint, ink and polymerization formulations.

Cola®Teric 2-COSF is a caprylic imidazoline derived amphoteric surfactant that provides excellent wetting, detergency, rinsibility, and effective hydrotroping properties in a wide range of electrolyte systems. This low to moderate foaming amphoteric is ideally suited for use in household and industrial cleaners, alkaline degreasers, transportation cleaners, and textile/carpet care formulations.

Cola®Teric MSC is a low foaming, biodegradable, amphoteric surfactant with excellent detergency, designed for use in either low or high temperature alkaline and acid cleaners. While some foaming occurs in both alkaline and acid cleaners when used in spray tanks, it is fast breaking and does not accumulate. This property can also prove advantageous when formulating "scrub-vac" cleaners such as those used on indoor-outdoor carpeting or hard surfaces. Cola®Teric MSC is an anhydrous, 100% active, liquid material that is ideally suited for use in dry products containing high percentages of caustic, such as heavy duty all-purpose industrial cleaners. In contrast to low foaming nonionic surfactants, Cola®Teric MSC exhibits low foaming properties even at low temperatures while still maintaining good detergent properties. In addition, it has been determined that up to equal parts of nonionics can be combined with ColaTeric MSC without losing these foaming properties. While ColaTeric MSC can be incorporated directly into aqueous alkaline systems, it neutralizes slowly and may take hours to achieve pH equilibrium. Cola®Teric MSC is readily soluble in aqueous acid systems.
