OMACIDE® IPBC 30 DPG Industrial Fungicide is a broad-spectrum liquid fungicide. It is easily dispersible into most formulations. The solvent package is dipropylene glycol. It is effective in preserving a wide range of products from spoilage. It is effective in products having a wide pH range (2 to 10). IPBC is sensitive to storage in formulations that contain primary amines or the pH of the formulations is greater than 9.1. IPBC may degrade in formulations that are stored for extended periods of time at temperatures greater than 45°C.

PROXEL® XL2 Antimicrobial is a broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a 10% aqueous propylene glycol solution of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one.

Proxel® MB4 Preservative is a solvent-free, zero VOC, broad spectrum preservative for the protection of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a dual active blend of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) that has been specially formulated. The actual labeling requirements for the formulated product should however be discussed with your local Lonza representative.

Proxel® BD20 Antimicrobial is a broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a 20% aqueous dispersion of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. Proxel® BD20 Antimicrobial is effective in a wide range of industrial aqueous-based products such as emulsion paints, water-based adhesives, household products, printing inks, paper coating compositions, metal working fluids, and agricultural pesticide dispersions. This product should be added to the system as early in the process as possible.

Cola®Terge FACC is a fatty acid amido complex, which provides excellent wetting and detergency properties in medium and high electrolyte-based cleaning formulations. This detergent concentrate offers superior cost/effectiveness versus systems requiring the use of hydrotropes. Its foaming characteristics are low to moderate, producing a lower and less stable foam than ethoxylated nonionics. Cola®Terge FACC is ideal for use in heavy-duty floor cleaners and wax strippers. Product should be stored between 40°F and 120°F to maintain stability. Based upon chemical composition the product is expected to be completely biodegradable.

Cola®Liquid DCT is a Modified Cocamide DIPA and Tall Oil Soap. Cola®Liquid DCT is an excellent substitute for 2:1 DEA amides. Colonial Chemical’s Cola®Liquid products consist of completely liquid, consumer acceptable non-DEA amides that perform like traditional alkanolamide surfactants. Cola®Liquid DCT can be used in any application where traditional alkanolamide surfactants have been used.

Cola®Liquid FACD is a fully biodegradable DEA-free fatty acid amido complex which is exceptionally soluble and stable in systems containing high concentrations of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium and potassium phosphates, sodium silicates and sodium carbonates. Cola®Liquid FACD offers excellent detergency and wetting properties, particularly silicate containing formulations. In most heavy-duty detergent systems, it offers superior performance and economy when compared to systems requiring the use of hydrotropes such as amphoterics and/or phosphate esters.Cola®Liquid FACD is a low to moderate foamer, producing lower and less stable foam than ethoxylated nonionics and significantly less foam than LAS. Straight aqueous solutions or alkaline solutions which contain up to 15% aqueous solutions of Cola®Liquid FACD show no appreciable increase in the viscosity, even under alkaline conditions.

Cola®Cap MA259 offers optimization of detergency, wetting and food soil defoaming characteristics. Cola®Cap MA259 incorporates a capping group that provides unique functionality, greater biodegradability and does not interfere with wetting, detergency or surface activity. It is also structurally suffi cient to provide good food soil defoaming properties. Cola®Cap MA259 develops low foaming properties without the use of propylene oxide capping that potentially could inhibit biodegradation.

For the formulator who is formulating safer, "green" products, hydrotropes such as SXS and cresylic acid based hydrotropes are no longer safe and environmentally acceptable. Cola®Trope OD is derived from natural sources and are non-petroleum based materials. Cola®Trope OD is more effective than sodium xylene sulfonate and has excellent wetting and detergency properties and soluble in up to 20% KOH and 15% NaOH. Cola®Trope OD is a moderate foamer that is useful in developing vertical foaming cleaners. It is recommended for neutral to alkaline pH formulations and not to be used in acid pH formulations. Colonial DF-20 is an anionic modified polyether that behaves as an anionic in alkali concentrates but displays nonionic cloud point behavior in diluted use solutions. This unique surfactant is intended for use in highly alkaline, built liquid cleaner concentrates. Colonial DF-20 exhibits very low foam and excellent hard-surface detergency when used at temperatures above its cloud point in use solutions. It is very eff ective in power-wash metal cleaners, low foam fl oor cleaners, steam cleaners, liquid dishwashing compounds and other low-foam cleaning applications.

Cola®Terge 226 is an optimized blend of nonionic and cationic surfactants, intended to be used for water-based degreasing. A cleaning formulation based on Cola®Terge 226 can often replace a solvent because of the efficient cleaning effect on grease and oil. When an oily soil contains a lot of soot and pigments, the cleaning effect will often be much better than with conventional products. A water-based alkaline cleaning formulation based using Cola®Terge 226 and appropriate complexing agent is a significant improvement compared with conventional alkaline cleaners.

Cola®Teric CA-35 is a high foaming amphoteric surfactant with a low toxicity profile, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It produces high foam and dense lather. This product is recommended for liquid soaps, shampoos, car washes, and foaming caustic cleaners.

DePHOS QSA-90 is an anionic, high foaming phosphate ester in free acid form. This economical surfactant provides detergency, emulsification and wetting.
