Our glass fiber reinforcements are 10 or 16 microns in diameter and milled to lengths ranging from 120 to 470 microns. They are used in composites to increase mechanical properties such as tensile, flexural and impact strength. They are also used to increase dimensional stability and minimize distortion at elevated temperatures. Milled glass fibers are compatible with all thermoset and thermoplastics resins. Surface treatments are available that may enhance performance. Microglass milled fibers are E-glass filaments hammer milled to various bulk densities. Microglass is used as a filler/reinforcement in composites to increase mechanical properties (tensile, flexural and impact), improve dimensional stability and minimize distortion at elevated temperatures.

Fibertec micas are platy minerals. Mica is generically a complex group of aluminosilicates occurring naturally as plates or sheet-like forms. Fibertec micas can be surface treated to enhance performance in various resin systems. Fibertec mica is used as functional fillers providing reinforcement in thermoplastic and thermoset resins to improve flexural modulus, tensile strength, impact strength while minimizing shrinking and warping at elevated temperatures.

FR Eco-Additive™ is a combination of Avtec’s TSWB® fire retarding and smoke suppressing additive and a crystalline graphite. FR Eco-Additive™ may be combined with composite resins and film forming binders to manufacture paints and coatings. Upon exposure to fire or high radiant heat the TSWB ® mitigates flammability and smoke generation as the graphite expands to form a thick insulating surface covering. This felt-like surface provides fire and heat resistance for assemblies that must meet prescribed burn-through and hourly fire rating criteria, e.g., ASTM E119, UL1709.FR Eco-Additive™ is a non-toxic antimony and bromine-free powder that disperses easily in both solvent and aqueous based resins. POWERSIL® rubber grades confer lasting water repellency, resistance to leakage currents and erosion, and good low-temperature flexibility. Stearocling Way Oils are formulated for the sliding ways of machine tools. They are formulated with high viscosity index base stocks combined with special extreme pressure friction modifiers that yield extremely low values in Cincinnati Milacron’s stick-slip test. As a result these oils are more stable to viscosity fluctuations and are able to overcome the slip-stick commonly associated with slow moving parts. Stearocling Way Oils also contain a package that eliminates the possibility of contamination through emulsification between the coolant and the way lube.

VERSALINK® are low-reactivity aromatic amines for use in polyurea or polyurea-polyurethane hybrid formulations. They can be liquid-processed at room temperature with monomeric and polymeric MDI or TDI prepolymers as well as other diisocyanates and diisocayanate prepolymers. Pot life values can be controlled and are typically in the range of 1-45 minutes, depending upon the specific VERSALINK® and isocyanate used. VERSALINK® products are specialty polymeric, non-toxic diamines that can be used as curatives and chain extenders. The range consists of varying molecular weights for use in highperformance polyurethane, polyurea and polyurea-hybrid applications. They can be processed as a liquid and incorporated with MDI and TDI/MDI prepolymers to improve final performance properties. Formulations using our VERSALINK® curatives combine the high performance of polyurea with the ease of application due to the extended pot-life and application time
