Ulmer Weiss 150/300H is a coarse calcium carbonate powder designed for use as a filler, pigment, or mixing agent in manufacturing processes. Common applications of this product include paper, paperboard, paints, varnishes, coatings, printing inks, mastics, soaps, detergents, rubber, cleaning mixtures, and polishing mixtures. Ulmer Weiss 150/300H is a solid powder in appearance with a characteristic odor and a loose bulk density of 1.2 g/cm3.

Solospheres® S-45 Solid Spheres are semi-solid ceramic microspheres. They are an excellent choice for applications requiring high strength, high temperature, and corrosion resistance. Solospheres® spherical morphology are shear thinning in liquid applications allowing formulator to reduce the VOC’s and increase filler loading. Solospheres® can easily disperse in a high intensity mixing or dispersion system in plastics.

SIKRON® is for industrial use, mighty, workable silica sand deposits are of decisive importance. Nevertheless, chemical purity and constancy are not enough in order to apply silica directly as a raw material. In Quarzwerke plants silica sands are thoroughly prepared. The raw material has to pass exten-sive cleaning-, classification-, drying- and iron-free grinding processes in order to produce silica sands, flours and powders. For the production of silica flours and -powders with a defined grain size distribution separation processes are required in addition to iron-free grinding. Quarzwerke are able to produce silica powders with grain sizes down to 1 μm due to a fine-tuned combination of grind- and classification technology. Another refining step is the surface-treatment with silanes or silan-based substances which can be adjusted to the respective application.

The finely tuned process of selection, grinding and classification guarantees a high aspect ratio and highest purity. As a natural silica, MicaCelia is chemically inert, resistent to most acids and oxidation, unsoluble in water and has a high temperature resistance. MicaCelia as a very pure muscovite mica exhibiting excellent electrical insulation properties. MicaCelia acts as a functional filler in anticorosion paints and in wall coatings and textured finishes, both for crack control and gloss control. Its lamellar structure allows to improve application of the coatings and their adhesion.

According to test results, Tallicin® 120 contributes to the conductivity of metal pigments in these applications. Also, Tallicin® 120 is recommended for use in dispersions containing glass frit.
