Securoc® B products are developed as functional halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) fillers for plastics and rubbers. Their flame retardant activity is primarily due to the endothermic decomposition of metal hydroxide (the heat sink effect) and the simultaneous release of water vapor. This reaction starts at about 300°C. Besides being flame retardant, they also possess a strong smoke-suppressing ability. ACCESS® SFR OH 750 is a hydroxyl or silanol functional fluid with a low viscosity of 750 cP. This pure fluid is ideal for use as a reactive diluent to adjust the overall viscosity of high viscosity polymers in silicone Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) formulations. It can also be used as an Anti-Structuring additive in high consistency silicone rubber and for the treatment of fillers.
