Anionic surfactants are negatively charged materials that are available in a variety of chemical types. The main classes being alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl sulfates, alkylbenzene sulfonates, alpha olefin sulfonates, phosphate esters. They are used in a wide range of applications where they provide useful characteristics including, emulsification, solubilisation, wetting, detergency, dispersion and foaming.

Ven-Fyber Coarse™ is a premium blend of micronized, surface-modified organic fibers for the prevention and remediation of whole fluid losses in drilling fluid applications. Ven-Fyber Coarse™ is field proven around the world for the prevention of moderate, severe & whole fluid losses. Ven-Fyber Coarse™ is composed of a blend of differing types of surface modified micronized cellulosic fibers. The differing types and sizes of the source materials provide excellent bridging and matting of thief zones in the near well-bore formation for effective sealing and prevention of whole fluid losses.

Chemax polyoxyethylated fatty acids are used as emulsifiers and lubricants additives in metal lubricants, textile lubricants, and cosmetic formulations. They are also used as emulsifiers in defoamers and as viscosity control agents in plastisol formulations.

Evonik is one of the leading producers of nanostructured metal oxides. These are highly pure aluminum oxides or titanium dioxides. Evonik's portfolio also consists of a growing range of hydrophobic and mixed oxides grades. AEROXIDE® fumed titanium dioxide and aluminum oxide products are applied in a wide range of markets and applications such as anti-blocking agent in PET films and heat stabilizer in silicone rubber. ALFOL® is a blend of high purity petrochemical-based linear primary alcohols. They are physically and chemically equivalent to corresponding oleochemical based alcohols derived from such sources as coconut oil or palm oil.

BIO-SOFT® is a nonionic surfactant blend that is an excellent cleaner, degreaser, and detergent. It can be formulated into concentrates and ready-to-use products for household, industrial, and institutional applications.

Sasol Chemicals' ISOFOL Alcohols are primary, saturated alcohols with defined branching of the carbon chain. Such alcohols are chemically described as 2-alkyl-1-alkanols and also referred to as Guerbet alcohols. ISOFOL Alcohols are high purity alcohols which offer excellent oxidative and color stability. They are available with even carbon chain lengths of 12 to 28. Additionally, the twin 100% linear alkyl branches of the ISOFOL Alcohols give a lower viscosity and better biodegradability than dimer alcohols derived from oxoalcohols. The unique chemical structure of the ISOFOL Alcohols also provides good solubility and solvency. The various derivatives synthesized from ISOFOL Alcohols maintain many of the beneficial properties of the parent alcohol.

Santicizer® Plasticizers offer all the benefits of high solvating plasticizers including compatibility in multiple polymer systems such as Polysulfide, PVC and Polyurethane. Because of their high efficiency, less energy is required to fuse PVC formulations. These materials are well suited for plastisol applications, but can easily be used in almost any polymer system that requires additional flexibility and softness.

COSMACOL emollients and waxes are high purity lipophilic emollients based on linear and monobranched primary fatty alcohols. They show important dermatological properties and exhibit also a gentle, non-greasy feel. Due to their peculiar hydrophilic characteristics, COSMACOL products like COSMACOL OE or COSMACOL Esters exhibit also excellent spreadability. COSMACOL Esters are ideal formulation components for modern, high quality cosmetics. Due to their high incorporation ability of powders and pigments they are also recommended for make-up products.

EcoMul is an oxidized tall oil fatty acid primary emulsifier for invert oil drilling muds. It is used in diesel, mineral and synthetic oil base fluids. It works in high temperature environments and contributes to fluid loss control.

Naxonac® products include anionic surfactants, one of the main advantages of phosphate esters is their stability and solubility in alkali systems. They can be used as hydrotropes to couple nonionic surfactants systems which are not soluble and at the same time increase wetting and detergency properties. The presence of the phosphate group imparts some interactions with metallic surfaces, thereby exhibiting some anti-corrosion and metal-adhesion characteristics. They can be used as additives in oil and water-soluble lubricant systems to improve lubricity, anti-frictional properties of the formula. Phosphate esters also find use as emulsifiers in emulsion polymerization.

Ven-Fyber Medium™ is a premium blend of micronized, surface-modified organic fibers for the prevention and remediation of seepage loss to moderate whole fluid losses in drilling fluid applications. Ven-Fyber Medium™ is composed of a blend of differing types of surface-modified micronized cellulosic fibers. The differing types and sizes of the source materials provide excellent bridging and matting of thief zones in the near well-bore formation for effective sealing and prevention of whole fluid losses.

ISOCARB acids are derived from Sasol’s proprietary Guerbet alcohols, available with even numbered carbon chain lengths of 12, 16, 24 and 32. ISOCARB acids comprise excellent corrosion inhibitor for the metalworking fluids. They also improve the formulation stability for metalworking fluids, both for semi-synthetic and fully synthetic and may be neutralized to the salt using widely available amines.

Unique combinations of low molecular weight fatty waxes on a backbone of polyethylene. Polysilk is designed to bloom and provide excellent surface slip without the use of silicone. These additives give excellent tape release and anti-blocking with scuff and mar resistance in solvent and water based systems. Polysilk 14 contains REACH compliant PTFE for added toughness and slip.
