Synative® types are high-quality esters that offer the formulator a broad pallet of properties to work with. The range includes standard viscosity esters acting as the base fluids but also high-viscosity, shear-stable esters that can be used to achieve the desired viscosity grade finished lubricant with superior performance (energy efficiency, long drain intervals, improved equipment protection, etc).

Sasol Chemicals' ISOFOL Alcohols are primary, saturated alcohols with defined branching of the carbon chain. Such alcohols are chemically described as 2-alkyl-1-alkanols and also referred to as Guerbet alcohols. ISOFOL Alcohols are high purity alcohols which offer excellent oxidative and color stability. They are available with even carbon chain lengths of 12 to 28. Additionally, the twin 100% linear alkyl branches of the ISOFOL Alcohols give a lower viscosity and better biodegradability than dimer alcohols derived from oxoalcohols. The unique chemical structure of the ISOFOL Alcohols also provides good solubility and solvency. The various derivatives synthesized from ISOFOL Alcohols maintain many of the beneficial properties of the parent alcohol.

The Hydrocal™ refining process selectively saturates large cyclical aromatic subgroups which result in the production of very highquality, stable base stocks. The HYDROCAL product line passes the IP 346 Standard and do not require labeling as carcinogenic under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. Further quality control practices that Calumet implements on crude oil selection and subsequent refining processes assure consistent uniformity and product performance.

Chemax polyoxyethylated fatty acids are used as emulsifiers and lubricants additives in metal lubricants, textile lubricants, and cosmetic formulations. They are also used as emulsifiers in defoamers and as viscosity control agents in plastisol formulations.

MARLOWET ether carboxylic acids are low foaming anionic surfactants. They are based on alcohols from C9 to C18, with different alkoxylation degrees. The MARLOWET product range is a water soluble lubricant efficient in hard water and active at extreme pH. It can be used in various applications including as a corrosion inhibitor (organic anti-corrosion agent), wetting agent, defoamer, hydrophilic emulsifier for water based metalworking fluids and exhibits high lime soap dispersing properties.

Breox® range of products covers water soluble and water insoluble polyalklylene glycols (PAGs) and high viscosity polyalklylene glycols. Their high thermal and oxidative stability, excellent lubricity, high film strength and load capacity, anti-wear properties, micropitting resistance, and shear stability make them an ideal choice as base stock for formulating high-performance industrial lubricants.

LIPOXOL grades provide a unique property profile, combining high water solubility, lubricity and low toxicity with excellent solvent properties. LubND® oils are easily dissolved in solutions. LOW -TEMPERATURE LubND® naphthenic base oils are severely hydrotreated pale-colored oils made from crude oil distillates. LubND® naphthenic base oils have low paraffin content, low pour point, and good solvency. LubND® oils also provide better low-temperature performance than paraffinic oils, which makes them ideal for formulating hydraulic fluids and automatic transmission fluids (ATFs).
