Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate is a synthetic compound derived from fatty acid. When Iron Oxides are surface treated with Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, they display strong color development properties with increased adhesion to the skin. TPT is very reactive to almost all pigments and forms a uniform coating of lipophilic isostearate groups. There are abundant fatty ester groups on the treated surface; therefore, the titanate treated pigments can be easily wetted by and dispersed in organic vehicles, like esters, mineral oils or petrolatum. Oil absorption is substantially reduced, allowing the loading of pigments in the formula to be increased. TPT treated pigments are suitable for liquid foundations, lipsticks, blushes, eye shadows, and sunscreens.

Colourmat® products are platelet shaped particles giving good skin adherence. As the particles are platelet shaped and sized between 10-20 microns, Colourmats provide a matte appearance upon application. DF products are treated with Hydrogenated Polyisobutene and Dimethicone, which give a silicone-like softness and hydrophobic surface characteristics. DF treated products have excellent photostability. They are ideal for color care applications.

Color Techniques D-9131/I Hydrophobic Yellow Iron Oxide, Improved appears as green shade yellow used in blush, eye shadow, eyebrow, eyeliner, face powder, foundation, lip, mascara, nail lacquer.

COLOURSPHERES® are spherical composite materials, in which colorants have been encapsulated into a polymer structure. Colourspheres® offer many advantages in comparison with conventional pigments as their structure is very different, and as their surface characteristics have been modified. The wetting properties of Colourspheres® are excellent due to their small specific surface area. They are hydrophilic in surface properties and very easy to disperse allowing time efficient color shading. Colourspheres WL 40 HB are hydrophobic and 40 microns in size.

Colourmat® products are platelet shaped particles giving good skin adherence. As the particles are platelet shaped and sized between 10-20 microns, Colourmats provide a matte appearance upon application. FLWJ treatment consists of Soy amino acids and Jasmine flower wax. The surface charge is modified so that the FLWJ treated particles create 3D-structures. This makes them ideal for volume compacting as the 3D-structure gives airiness and lightness to powder applications. FLWJ treatment is suitable for natural cosmetics.

A hydrogen dimethicone-based cosmetic powder surface treatment with a lower hydrogen potential than SI. It enables products with a light/smooth feeling as well as waterproof cosmetics.
