KIBITON® is a copolymer of styrene and butadiene. It shows some of the characteristics of thermoset rubber such as elasticity and low temperature performance with the advantages of a thermoplastic such as melt processibility. Its segmented and radial molecular structure allows it to have the same flexible and physical properties of general rubber without the vulcanization process. Its middle segment is similar to rubber and has excellent elastic restoring force, processing flowability, weather resistance, and can be injection molded similar to that of thermoplastics. It can be widely applied for shoe soles, toys, asphalt modifications, mechanical products, plastic modification agents, and adhesive agents.

Hubercarb is mainly pure calcium carbonate manufactured by hubergroup. There are four series of Hubercarb products available. Hubercarb® Q Series products include ultra-fine, fine, medium-fine and granular particle size calcium carbonates. Several of these products have been surface-modified to enhance end-use performance . Hubercarb® M Series Calcium Carbonate is mined from a uniform deposit of high calcium limestone in Marble Falls, Texas. Products include ultra-fine, fine and medium-fine sizes. Select products have been surface-modified to enhance end-use performance. Hubercarb® W Series Calcium Carbonate has a purity level of 99.3%, is mined from a world-class limestone deposit and processed in Quincy, Illinois. Products include ultra-fine and fine median particle sizes. Two of the W Series grades have been surface-modified to enhance end-use performance. The W Series products are ideal for applications that require high-filler loadings, low moisture content and silica content below detectable levels. The W Series is low in trace metals like iron, which can promote undesirable degradation in some polymer systems. The unique particle shape and particle size distribution lend the W Series products to low viscosity at high-filler loadings, improved surface-finish in molded parts, reduced part shrinkage and part breakage, while saving on expensive equipment repair costs. Hubercarb® G Series Calcium Carbonate is mined from a world-class deposit of high brightness marble in Marble Hill,Georgia. Products include ultra-fine, fine, medium-fine and granular particle sizes. Several of these products have been surface-modified to enhance end-use performance. The G Series products are ideal for applications that require high brightness or pure tints.

An anti-slip system suitable for use on roads, bridges, multistorey car parks, airports, boat decks and in many other areas where a heavy duty solution is called for. Eurogrip can be applied to concrete, asphalt, steel or timber. It is a fast curing, 3 component anti-slip system that is suitable for aggregate sizes ranging from 0.5 to 3mm. Eurogrip is applied with a notched squeegee following which high friction grit/aggregate is broadcast onto the surface. Optus will advise on aggregate size, type and supplier.

SafSil® products are high performance functional fillers that contain less than 0.1 % respirable crystalline silica and are commonly used in both water and solvent-based paints and coatings. CP-1007 is a non-flammable, non-toxic, non-acid, penetrating silicate sealer that strengthens and internally waterproofs cementious materials. CP-1007 is water-based and environmentally friendly. Unlike membrane forming sealers which can be worn away in high traffic areas’, leaving unprotected concrete unsightly and susceptible to chemical attack, CP-1007 penetrates into the surface and cannot be scratched or peeled off. When applied to concrete or masonry, CP-1007 reacts with calcium hydroxide and reduces porosity and permeability of the concrete matrix. This serves to increase the hardness and chemical resistance which, in turn, increases the service life of the surface. In conditions where salt air and humidity attack the concrete, causing oxidation of the reinforcing steel, CP-1007 has proved to halt such corrosion activity. When the CP-1007 is applied to concrete exposed to such conditions, exfoliation or expulsion of the chlorides takes place. The CP-1007 reacts with free alkali in the concrete forming a silica hydrogel that fills the capillaries within the matrix. This hydrogel waterproofs and seals the surface after all materials harmful to the concrete are removed. This process could take up to thirty days or longer, depending on the chloride and acidic residual concentration within the capillaries.
