Saudi Industrial Resins Limited is a joint venture between INEOS Composites and private Saudi Arabia shareholders, and is the leading supplier of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins in the MENA region. In addition to its successful locally-produced Siropol® and Hetron® ranges [manufactured under license from INEOS Composites], SIR distributes a wide range of composite auxiliaries - including glassfibre, catalysts, and accelerators. The company also distributes INEOS Composites Derakane® range. The original plant was completed in 1977 and, since that time, has undergone several capacity- and infrastructure-additions. The plant is totally self-sufficient, and can operate under its own generated electric power, chilled and cooling water, steam, and heating fluids. SIR has manufacturing operations in Jeddah and in Jubail [Eastern Saudi Arabia]. The company owns significant storage capacities, which ensure that regional growth in consumption is matched by availability of cost-effective quality materials. The company is well-supported by the increasing range of petrochemical-based raw materials, produced in Saudi Arabia from low-cost feedstocks. SIR offers technical-service and development capabilities, to guarantee that it continues to be a leader in provision of fit-for-purpose quality materials. The company’s technical association with INEOS Composites ensures its access to global leading-edge polyester and vinylester technologies, supplemented by an ability to customise materials to local conditions. As an ISO-9001:2015 company, SIR continuously reviews and improves its business processes, to ensure that its customer service abilities improve.

"Concordia was founded in 1920 as a manufacturer of silk yarns, and for the next 70 years the company grew to become a leading producer of synthetic yarns and threads for traditional textile applications. In the late 1980's Concordia took its fiber handling expertise to new levels, using textile science to expand its capabilities into engineered products including advanced composites for aerospace, filtration media, power transmission belts, sailcloth, and many other applications. In the early 2000's Concordia again took its innovative skills into new fields. Utilizing its years of experience in fiber handling, the company began designing and building machines specialized in forming textile structures from bioabsorbable fibers. A new 1,000 square foot clean room was added in 2003. In 2005 Concordia acquired the tissue engineering scaffold assets of Albany International Research Company and Biofelt® was born. In 2008, Concordia moved its medical business to a new facility in Warwick, RI, where Concordia Medical was able to expand its capabilities to produce a variety of non-woven bioabsorbable polymer substrates. In March of 2011, Concordia Medical was purchased by Biomedical Structures, LLC which is dedicated to maintaining Concordia's tradition of quality excellence. Concordia Fibers continues to design and manufacture high performance yarns in its Coventry, RI facility for leading apparel, industrial fabric, and advanced composite companies throughout the United States and the world."
