    S80U is a high transparency grade of silicone rubber intended for use in food, dairy, brewing, potable water, pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. Platinum-cured silicone is odorless, tasteless and non toxic. Seals made from S80U are resistant to repeated sterilizing, autoclaving and cleaning agents commonly used in these industries.Unlike traditional peroxide-cure methods, platinum curing results in a smooth contact surface finish and a high degree of purity. No residue substances such as benzoic acid, peroxides, ketones are produced during manufacturing, which can be transferred from the seal to critical hygienic products.Key Attributes FDA compliant - extraction tested to CFR 21 § 177.2600(e,f) USP Class VI <88> and USP <87> compliant 3A Sanitary Standard 18-03 Class 1 compliant.     Varteco Quimica Puntana KALFLEX-13 A is a Food- grade Epoxidized Soybean Oil Most flexible PVC compounds and some rigid PVC compounds benefit from adding this kind of plasticizer. Although light and heat stability is improved by adding 2 or 3 phr, the percentage of use can significantly increase because KALFLEX-13 has the same plasticizing efficacy as DOP. Consequently, it can efficiently substitute it by adjusting some mixture and process parameters in order to compensate its lower activity. Its use includes different kinds of compounds such as PVC, nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber and PVC copolymers, etc. ADVATAGES: *Approved for Non- toxic formulae. *It gives PVC formulae resilience to the extraction through oil, naphtha and soapy water. It resists substrate migration like polystyrene and nitrocellulose. *It has low volatility and its use is recommended in anti- fogging formulae for automobile industry. *It does not modify the softening point of rigid compounds. *It is an excellent dispersing agent suitable for pigments and sponge agents. *It offers excellent light and heat stability. It gives an ideal effect when combined with Barium- Cadmium and Calcium- Zinc stabilizers. In addition, it also synergistically works with lead and tin organo- metallic compounds. As an example, a formula with a Ba-Cd stabilizer level of 1.5 phr and KALFLEX-13 shows the same resilience to heat and light than a formula having only a stabilizer level of 3 phr. * Epoxidized plasticizers are also useful in other areas such as alkyd resins modifiers, metallic primer stabilizers, nitrocellulose varnish modifiers.
