Welcome to Gateway Food Products, a family owned manufacturer and processor of vegetable oils, shortenings, corn syrups, flakes, custom blended oils and soy wax products. We formulate and package a variety of proprietary formulas from our wide range of bulk ingredients.
Carroll Crosley founded Gateway Food Products Company in 1961, opening our first facility in downtown St. Louis. Carroll focused on manufacturing high quality products backed by friendly and reliable customer service. Carroll’s commitment provided the ground work for rapid growth. By 1978, Gateway Food Products had outgrown our facility and moved our operations to our current 25,000 square foot facility in Dupo, Illinois. In 1988, Carroll Crosley retired and handed over the leadership to his son, John Crosley. John has continued the traditions established by his father, spearheading our expansion and growth into new product lines.
Gateway Food Products focuses on individualized customer service, catering to customers of all sizes without establishing minimum orders. This philosophy provides our customers a competitive advantage in the marketplace by allowing ease of entry into private label product lines and reasonable inventory management.

Nutrativa™ Global was the first company in the world to manufacture and market a patented cranberry protein powder. From our BRCGS globally certified manufacturing facility, for the past 21 years Nutrativa™ Global has been producing high quality protein powders and the purest of oils for the top food, beverage, personal care and nutraceutical companies across the globe. Utilizing the by-product (i.e. skins and seeds), our value-added powders and oils are all cold-pressed and cold-filtered, retaining their inherent nutrients and rich natural flavors. All of our products are excipient, chemical, synthetic, solvent and carrier-FREE 100% PURE oils, and with a powder particle size range from a 10 mesh to an ultra-fine 325 mesh.
The fruit powders and oils manufactured by Nutrativa Global™ add flavor and function to leading fruit drinks, dietary and nutritional supplements, health bars, natural food products, weight loss regimens, skin care products, animal nutrition products and more. Our production team consists of experienced science professionals with many years of experience producing industrial hemp products and in lab management. We use proprietary distillation methods in production. These methods allow us to create our products in a manner that is more efficient than other producers and also allows us to ensure quality products throughout the process.
We also believe in the “Science of Quality” which means we have spent substantial resources to have analytics and expertise on-site for testing our material through each stage of the process. This means within minutes of each stage of the process we are able to test the efficiency of our process to determine if we need to make any changes to the parameters. This allows us to provide consistent products to our clients.
Buffalo Creek Mills was born from the desire to make a positive impact within the community of Altona, Manitoba, serving its local producers and customers. Not only do we know the oat farmers in the area, but we have developed and fostered relationships with many local and national buyers as well.
To this day, we are in the thick of oat production. We continuously get to know all our local oat producers—the ins and outs of their processes, the exact specifications of what they need, or simply how their day is going.
Today, we have extended our lines of communication to various international food producers around the world, able to ensure their specific food needs are met. With our state-of-the-art facility, we have the flexibility to customize our stabilized oats to whatever specifications they may need.
