Features & Benefits

Product Features
  • Accepta 2309 is a high performance water treatment chemical scientifically formulated using a blend of organic and inorganic corrosion inhibitors and developed as a corrosion inhibitor and antifoulant for closed circuit water systems containing aluminum.
  • The superior performance of Accepta 2309 which includes molybdate, protects steel, copper and other non-ferrous metals. In addition Accepta 2309 is designed to protect systems which incorporate aluminum.
Product Benefits
  • High performance corrosion inhibitor and antifoulant
  • Suitable for both closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems
  • Effective protection for aluminum*
  • Effective protection over a range of metals
  • Innovative blend of organic and inorganic corrosion inhibitors including molybdate
  • Effective protection over a range of metals
  • Low eco-toxicity

*Important - Whilst Accepta 2309 is designed to protect systems which incorporate aluminum it should not be used in systems with Stelrad Super Plus Modular boilers where an alternative product COPAL should be used, and in all applications where aluminum is present it is important to control the pH in the range 7 - 8. It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.

Applications & Uses

Markets
Product Applications
  • Corrosion inhibitor for closed water circulating systems containing aluminum.
  • Its extreme efficiency combined with low toxicity has proved Accepta 2309 to be an ideal treatment for closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems.
Dosing Information
  • For systems containing no aluminum Accepta® 2309/CB50 should be dosed at 0.5 to 1% (5,000 - 10,000 ml/m³) in order to give a reserve of 50ppm of sodium molybdate (equivalent to 33ppm of molybdate).
  • For systems containing aluminum, the dosage of 1-1.5% should be added in order to maintain a minimum reserve of 100ppm of sodium molybdate (equivalent to 66ppm of molybdate).
  • In certain circumstances it may be necessary to adjust the pH separately by the addition of a pH conditioner - your Accepta representative will advise.
  • In systems requiring significant passivation, higher initial dosages may be required to yield the required inhibitor residual.
