Accepta® BG810

1 of 30 products in this brand

Accepta® BG810 is an alkaline blend of corrosion inhibitor, a threshold deposit control agent, sludge conditioner and bromine pre-cursor. The product provides protection to multi-metal systems without the requirement of additional specific corrosion inhibitors.

When used in conjunction with ACTIVATOR 120 the correct level of ‘bromine’ is released to control microbiological growth in the system.

Functions: Corrosion Inhibitor, Precursor, Scale Inhibitor

Product Features
  • Bromgard is a unique range of multi-functional liquid cooling water inhibitors and special activators which can be matched to specific cooling system metallurgy and water supply characteristics. They incorporate corrosion and scale inhibitors, bio-dispersant to prevent fouling and a powerful bromine biocide to control microbial activity.
  • Bromgard is the ideal treatment system to protect against Legionnaires’ Disease. A Bromgard treatment program comprises of an appropriately selected Inhibitor and Activator, and where needed, this may be augmented by an additional non-oxidizing biocide.
  • Accepta® BG810 contains no controversial constituents such as heavy metals or phosphates.

Dosage Rates Information
  • To ensure rapid film formation and corrosion control the system should be pre-treated with Accepta® BG810 for two or three weeks at twice the normal continuous dosage.
  • The exact dosage required after passivation will depend on a number of factors and can be advised by your Accepta representative but will normally be in the range of 100-200ml/m³ in recirculation.
  • For maximum control and economy it should be dosed in proportion to make-up requirements.
Bromgard Applications
  • The Bromgard Inhibitor is dosed to maintain a continuous residual in the recirculating water. This is most effectively done using a water meter controlled dosing pump drawing the chemical directly from the supply drum or from a bulk storage dosage tank.
  • As well as this, the Bromgard Activator is dosed on demand to achieve the desired microbial control. Depending on the particular cooling system, this may be achieved either by intermittent time-controlled dosage or more often by Redox controlled dosage to maintain the desired continuous bromine residual (typically 1- 2mg/).
  • Switching is easy as the Bromgard approach is fully compatible with most existing cooling water dosing equipment, simplifying program change.
  • The Bromgard cooling water treatment program can be monitored by a standard bromine test kits so that the necessary adjustments can be made and compliance demonstrated.
  • Accepta® BG810 is used for advanced treatment for open evaporative cooling systems
  • It offers protection over an extended range of pH, temperature and raw water hardness, making an ideal treatment for both building services and industrial applications.
