Aldo Products Company Company Logo
ALDOSEAL 399 is a high solid, low VOC, one-part silicone elastomeric flashing grade specifically designed for use in sealing roof penetrations, curbs, seams, flashing areas and any other roof top areas of possible water infiltration. It is also the sealant of choice for any roof system that has been previously coated with a silicone elastomeric coating. Once applied, this silicone flashing grade provides a durable, seamless and flexible system that resists lateral movement, shear and will allow for normal expansion and contraction. ALDOSEAL 399 provides greater waterproofing protection than similar flashing grade silicone sealants and offers increased resistance to moisture penetration.

Uses
  • ALDOSEAL 399 was specifically developed as a protective sealant for pipe boots, seams, flashing areas, curbs, exposed fasteners and all other breaches in a roof system that will allow water to enter a structure.
  • With excellent adhesion to other silicone products, ALDOSEAL 399 is proven to provide long term durability versus water based sealants.
Application Instructions
  • ALDOSEAL 399 may be applied by soft brushes or trowels.
  • Apply ALDOSEAL 399 only to clean, dry, sound surfaces free of loose particles or other foreign matter.
  • For best results, ambient temperature should be between 50 - 90 °F. Higher temperatures will shorten the cure time and working time for proper application of granules before the material has skinned. Lower temperatures will lengthen the skin over, tack free and ultimate cure time. Sudden temperature declines may also result in dew formation on surfaces, which can prevent adhesion development.
  • For best results, relative humidity should be above 20%. Lower humidity will slow the cure time significantly.
  • Apply ALDOSEAL 399 at a rate of no greater than 50 wet mils.
  • Minimum dry mil thickness shall be above 25 mils.
  • Coverage rates per gallon - 750 fasteners; 100 linear feet of seam at 4” wide and 40 wet mils.
