EBECRYL® 4685 is an aliphatic urethane acrylate that is diluted with 20% trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA). This formulation displays excellent reactivity, resulting in the production of hard and tough coatings. Designed for UV/EB energy-curable coatings, EBECRYL® 4685 is well-suited for roller coating, spraying, and curtain coating applications on various substrates, including wood, cork, furniture, paper, parquet, plastics, and film. Coatings formulated with EBECRYL® 4685 showcase commendable mechanical properties, resistance to yellowing, as well as chemical and abrasion resistance. This product is particularly applicable in radiation-curable coatings for diverse end uses, with a focus on compatibility with wood substrates, and finds usage in applications such as automotive OEM coatings.

Storage & Handling

Precaution
Care should be taken not to expose the product to high temperatureconditions, direct sunlight, ignition sources, oxidizing agents, alkalis oracids. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the productwith the generation of heat. Storage and handling should be in stainlesssteel, amber glass, amber polyethylene or baked phenolic linedcontainers. Procedures that remove or displace oxygen from thematerial should be avoided. Do not store this material under an oxygenfree atmosphere. Dry air is recommended to displace material removedfrom the container. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep containertightly closed.
