Amstel Product BV Carrageenan gum are natural food additives and are for their gelling, thickening, and stabilizing properties. There are three main varieties of carrageenan.

Amstel Product BV Gellan Gum is an EU-approved product, known as E418. Gellan gum is a water-soluble anionic polysaccharide produced by the bacterium Sphingomonas elodea.

Amstel Product BV Tara Gum is an EU-approved product, known as E417.Tara gum is the grinded endosperm of the seeds from the Caesalpinia spinosa tree that grows mainly in Peru.This ingredient is used as a thickening agent and stabilizer in a number of food applications.

Amstel Product BV Gum Arabic is an EU-approved product, known as E414. Gum arabic, also known as acacia gum, is a natural gum made of the hardened sap of two species of the acacia tree. The gum acacia is used merely in the food industry as a stabilizer. It is a natural emulsifier, that means it keeps together ingredients that normally would not mix well.

Amstel Product BV Xanthan gum is an EU-approved product, known as E415. It is a polysaccharide that is created through a fermentation process. Xanthan gum is used in food products as a strong thickening agent and stabilizer. The product is also known under the names xantan gum, or gomme de xanthane and gum xanthan/ksantan gum.

Amstel Product BV Cellulose gum is also called Carboxymethyl cellulose and is used to thicken and stabilize products, or modify the viscosity of a substance. Food and non-food products often contain cellulose gum. Examples are ice cream, toothpaste, detergents, textiles and numerous other products.
