Arichem HES-FR is a non-halogen HIGH EFFICIENCY mixed metal salt of aromatic sulfonates providing extremely effective flame retardant (FR) performance in translucent and opaque polycarbonate (PC). The product was developed using Arichem’s high purity sulfonation technology.

AriChem DPIP is a powder high purity arichem diphenyl isophthalate used mainly as a monomer in polymer production.

Arichem STB-FR is Sodium Trichlorobenzenesulfonate. This white powder organic compound is an excellent economic flame retardant for opaque PC compounds. Arichem STB-FR when used at low levels (0.2%) could be considered for inclusion in non-halogen formulations. Since regulations for non-halogen classification vary with application discussion with Arichem technical personnel is advised. In brominated FR PC systems, Arichem STB-FR at 0.2% loading can reduce by 75% the amount of brominated FR required for UL Flammability performance.

Arichem HES2-FR is a non-halogen HIGH EFFICIENCY mixed metal salt of aromatic sulfonates providing extremely effective flame retardant (FR) performance in transparent and opaque polycarbonate (PC). The product was developed using Arichem’s high purity sulfonation technology.

Arichem KSS-FR is a white powder and provides Flame retardant performance at fractional loading levels or at less than 0.6% by weight in the polycarbonate formulation. Therefore, it may be helpful to produce and utilize KSS-FR in concentrate form for more effective dispersion into the polycarbonate matrix. For some specific FR formulations, Arichem KSS-FR is used at fractional loadings in combination with other flame retardants such as brominated polycarbonate oligomer for PC and bisphosphate like RDP or BDP for PC/ABS formulations.
