Sodium Omadine® 2000 Antimicrobial

1 of 3 products in this brand
Sodium Omadine® 2000 Antimicrobial is an effective preservative in most aqueous compositions. The concentration required to give protection depends on several factors including the susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, the extent to which microorganisms can gain access, the species involved, pH, temperature, and length of time for which protection is required.

Functions: Anti-Microbial Agent, Anti-Microbial Agent, Biocide

End Uses: Waterborne Adhesive, Waterborne Coating

    Applications

Sodium Omadine® 2000 Antimicrobial is an effective preservative in most aqueous compositions. The concentration required to give protection depends on several factors including the susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, the extent to which microorganisms can gain access, the species involved, pH, temperature, and length of time for which protection is required. The following concentrations are suggested; however, it is recommended that a testing program be undertaken to determine the most effective dose for your application. Testing should take into account chemical compatibility/stability, plant hygiene conditions, susceptibility of the product to contamination and typical organisms involved.

    Product Suggested Concentrations %(w/w)
    Synthetic Polymer Emulsions 0.05 - 0.4
Paints and Other Water Based Coatings 0.05 - 0.5
    Water Based Adhesives 0.1 -  0.4
Pigment Dispersions, Inks and Colorants 0.1 -  0.4
    Aqueous Based Mineral Slurries 0.1 -  0.4
    Tape Joint Compound 0.1 -  0.4
Water Based Chemical or Mineral Add Mixtures 0.1 -  0.4
