- Formulation Guidelines
The emulsions may be prepared by mixing the oily components in iEmul N and melting this mixture at 80-85°C. In parallel, the watersoluble ingredients should be added to the water and should also be heated to 80-85 ° C. Thereafter, the aqueous phase is added over the oil phase. Stir constantly for approximately 15 minutes and start cooling. During the cooling, emulsification occurs, which can be noted by an increase in viscosity and by the homogeneous appearance acquired by the product. If lump formation occurs, the emulsion can be reheated at 80-85°C and the cooling process followed as described above. It is recommended that alcoholic solutions, biological actives and essential oils be added after cooling to 35°C. iEmul N is considered to be a well-tolerated product in typical local applications.
