Olive Oil has been known for its benefits since ancient times, and recent studies have emphasized its unique properties. In modern cosmetics, products derived from olive oil are of wide interest since they combine the olive oil properties with wide ranging new formulation opportunities. OLIVE BUTTER is obtained from Olive Oil through our innovative process, preserving the essential properties the Olive Oil. Our process does not include any hydrogenation step. Olive Butter can play a positive role in many cosmetic formulations. It spreads easily on the skin and has excellent penetrating and moisturizing characteristics which help repairing and softening dry skins. In formulations, OLIVE BUTTER helps in: - improving the spreading and moisturizing effects in finished products - building up body and structure in a formulation, stabilizing emulsions and adjusting viscosity.

BioNat Olive Oil

Our MARULA OIL is extracted from the seeds of the Sclerocarya birrea fruits. The Marula fruits are widely used in Africa for their sweet and flavorful taste. The MARULA OIL is a popular ingredient in skin/hair care products. It softens, nourrishes and revitalizes. It is also known to be an excellent emollient and to be easily absorbed by the skin. Its important amount of Oleic and Linoleic acids are interresting for topical applications. Besides, it possesses a high level of anti-oxydants and it is known to have an oxydative stability two times more important than Olive Oil. It also possesses free radical scavenging properties.

BioNat Marula Scrub

Japan CLS: 520-576-42 The unsaponifiable fraction of Olive Oil contains the natural hydrocarbon squalene as a predominant component. Hydrogenation of this unsaponifiable fraction provides OLIVE DERIVED SQUALANE. Low temperature chromatographic purification techniques ensuring a consistent high quality final product have been developed, and no solvent is used at this stage of the manufacturing process for the Olive Derived SQUALANE is stable. No preserving agents or antioxydants are incorporated. SQUALANE is equivalent to the human sebum and presents perfect compatibility with the skin. Completely non-ionic, without color nor odor, Olive Derived SQUALANE is perfectly adapted to modern up-market cosmetic formulations.

Our XIMENIA OIL is extracted from the seeds of the Ximenia americana trees. The Ximenia trees a are widely used in Africa for their interesting medicinal properties. The XIMENIA OIL is a popular ingredient in skin/hair care products. It softens, nourrishes and revitalizes. Its interesting silky texture makes it’s ideal for silicone free formulations.

The Oryzanoil has been cultivated for more than 10 000 years; the rice was known by the Greeks since the expeditions of Alexandre Legrand in Persia and has been introduced in France since 1393. Nowadays, China, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Birmania and Thailand provide 80% of the worldwide rice production. The rice is a cereal comes from the Poaceae family, and it is highly cultivated for its fruit rich in starch. This kind of plant is called “Oryza” and includes two types: Oryza Sativa and Oeyza Glaberrima. The bran is the thin film located between the grain and the protective pod.

One primary advantage of Neem oil is its soothing, high fatty acid content making Neem oil especially gentle and nourishing when used for itchy, sensitive or dry conditions. Skin aliments, especially ongoing, chronic problems, often respond very well to Neem oil.

BioNat Kalahari-Melon-Seed is a triglyceride oil, cold pressed from the seeds of Citrullus lanatus of the Cucurbitaceae family that originate from the Kalahari region in southern Africa. The oil is filtered and has a pale yellow color. It is light and quickly penetrates the skin.

Our MORINGA OIL is extracted from the Moringa Oleifera Tree seed kernels and is also called “Behen” or “Ben” oil, refering to the high concentration of behenic acid in the oil. The Moringa tree is native from Africa and India and has been revered for thousands of years as miracle tree: its nutrient – rich leaves and seeds can be eaten and the oil pressed from its seeds is full of radiance-boosting fatty acids and vitamin A and C. MORINGA OIL possesses exceptionnal oxidative stability, which enables personal care formulations to avoid rancidity for a long period of time. The rich emolliency created by the behenic acid provides a distinctive, nongreasy after-feel. Noticeable qualities of the oil in personal care applications include its silky texture, long-lasting moisturizing effect, and ability to soften and sooth the skin.

BioNat Moringa

Our ACAI OIL is extracted from the Açaï fruits in the brazilan amazonian forest, where it is wild harvested. Our sustainable harvesting model, using the fruits, allows local people to get income from the trees instead of cutting them to sell the wood. No preservatives, additives or other chemicals are added. It is grown naturally in the Amazon without any pesticides or fertilizers. The pulp is cold-pressed, mechanically filtered and packed immediately protecting the oil from light. The ACAI OIL oil is mainly composed of anthocyanins, phytosterols, and essential fatty acids (EFAs). Anthocyanins are responsible for the red color and are an antioxidant substance that helps to fight free radicals. However the açaí has up to 33 times more anthocyanins than grapes. Among the phytosterols present in açaí oil are beta-sitosferol, stigmasterol, and campesterol, which are widely used by the cosmetic industry as a preventive for the aging of skin because they stimulate the metabolism of cells and reduce inflammation. Its fatty acids profile shows the presence of linoleic acid (Omega 6) and oleic acid (Omega 9), and is predominantly made of unsaturated fatty acids (up to 70%).
