SOLIMIDE® AC-550 (H) polyimide foam is utilized in aircraft and aerospace markets as a lightweight, non-wicking thermal and acoustic insulation material where low fire, toxicity and smoke generation are critical. It is formaldehydefree and demonstrates excellent long term stability under humid conditions and after temperature cycling. Similar to AC-550 foam, AC-550 (H) foam is slightly more dense for improved thermal properties. Applications include aircraft sidewalls and ECS systems, as well as cushioning, thermal protection and vibration damping in space applications. It is also used in the aerospace market where higher temperatures resistance is needed. High temperature pipes and ducts, night storage heaters and ovens are examples of applications that use SOLIMIDE® HT-340 foam. A variety of shapes and sizes are available; facings or coatings are easily applied to meet end use requirements.

SOLIMIDE® AC-550 insulation is used in a variety of applications, including aircraft fuselage, under floor, ECS ducts and equipment. SOLIMIDE® CC-306 polyimide foam is utilized in the marine market as lightweight, non-flammable, non-fibrous thermal hull insulation for submarines and other marine vessels. SOLIMIDE® CC-306 foam can be cut into a variety of shapes and sizes, then faced or coated to meet end user requirements

SOLIMIDE® TA-301 foam can be cut into a variety of shapes and sizes, then faced or coated to meet end user requirements.

SOLIMIDE® Densified polyimide foams are utilized in commercial and industrial markets when the high temperature, non-flammable and formaldehyde-free properties of lightweight polyimide foam are desired, but enhanced mechanical or thermal properties are needed. High temperature gaskets and tubing for sensitive instrumentation are examples of applications, as well as high temperature equipment and bleed air duct insulation on aircraft. Densified foam is also used in rugged utility laptops where insulation space is limited. Both SOLIMIDE® HT-340 and TA-301 foams are available in densified form. A variety of shapes and sizes are offered, facings or coatings are easily applied to meet end use requirements.
