DENSIPOL® PS Silicone defoamers for aqueous systems: DENSIPOL PS is the family of silicone based defoamers from Chemipol which they contain as a primary active substance modified polysiloxanes, hydrophobic particles, surfactants and polyglycol.

Modifying silicon by adding chains of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide makes it more hydrophilic or hydrophobic. Depending on the characteristics of EO/ PO chains that are added is controlled the solubility of the polysiloxanes and are obtained compounds with different levels of surface tension. Are the incompatible and insoluble polysiloxanes which reduces the foam stability and deliver the defoaming effect. By balancing the degree of incompatibility is achieved and excellent foam control.

For their formulation, silicone defoamers do not affect the gloss or the color acceptance, reason why are specially recommended for high-gloss systems such as waterborne industrial coatings.

DENSIPOL® DF Silicone-free Polymer Defoamers for Aqueous Systems: DENSIPOL DF is the family of polymer defoamers and silicone-free from Chemipol based on fatty alcohol and fatty acids alkoxylates formulated with hydrophobic compounds and emulsifiers. Its defoaming capacity results from combining polymers with different polar charges and molecular weights to balance between its incompatibility and compatibility. Polymers used are insoluble in water and have a low surface tension that together with the hydrophobic compounds release the air microbubbles occluded inside the system.

Products of this family, DENSIPOL DF 800 and DF 820 are formulated with readily biodegradable ingredients so therefore can be considered eco-friendly products.
