GlucoStar® 1748 is a cold-water soluble, high viscosity polymer for use in industrial applications. GlucoStar 1748 is a modified, high molecular weight, natural polysaccharide designed to impart enhanced functional properties including: viscosity, rheology modification, solution stability, salt tolerance, surface activity and water retention. The ultra-high viscosity and high solubility of GlucoStar 1748 make it particularly suited for use as a viscosifier and binder in adhesive formulations. In addition, it has excellent tack and film clarity. GlucoStar 1748 is particularly suited for use in wall-covering, outdoor advertising and paper bag adhesives. GlucoStar 1748 is treated with a preservative for the prevention of bacterial or fungicidal breakdown.
