- Natural 3R, 3’R zeaxanthin and lutein pigments are powerful antioxidants from the carotenoid family.
- Zeaxanthin and lutein are localized at the very center of the macula (the fovea) – the area of the eye rich in rod and cone photoreceptors that provide optimal visual acuity.
- Zeaxanthin absorbs high-energy blue light.
