SPACTIVE® GA 1010 is a siloxane defoamer compound for water-based coating systems and pigment grinding. Due to its chemical structure, it is particularly recommended for use in mill base. This product has the benefit of the best price-performance ratio and due to its higher activity it is recommended as an alternative defoamer to SPACTIVE® GA 1020. Its preferred fields of application include: Printing inks: gravure printing inks and flexographic printing inks Overprint varnishes (OPV): high gloss or semi-gloss Pigment grinding

Fields of Application

Due to its chemical structure SPACTIVE GA 1010 is particularly recommended for use in mill base.
As alternative defoamer with higher activity we recommmend SPACTIVE GA 5070.
Preferred fields of application:

  • Printing inks and overprint varnishes
  • Pigment grinding
Recommendation for Use
  • We generally recommend a dosage of 0.1 - 1.0 % calculated on the total formulation.
  • The optimum dosage has to be determined through preliminary tests.
  • The defoamer is suitable for use in formulations where high shear forces are applied.
